Operations Manager - Construction
Type: Full Time
L & L Sales and Service, Inc., a leader and innovator in the agricultural industry, is currently seeking a self-motivated Operations Manager- Construction. We offer a wide variety of products to serve our customers that include: concrete and building construction, manure equipment, feeding equipment, freestalls, gates, ventilation, mattresses and waterbeds.
The candidate must have the knowledge and ability to communicate with the customer and manage the construction of a modern dairy facility as well as light commercial projects.
Duties to Include:
• Estimate concrete costs
• Estimate internal steel work costs
• Estimate bedding surface material costs
• Fill out inventory reports
• Preparation and delivery of materials to jobsite
• Stake out project site as well as follow up with contractors to verify jobsite readiness
• Some material ordering
• Schedule / Manage multiple crews
• Manage multiple projects at multiple construction sites and act as the main point of contact with customers and sub-contractors following a sale
• Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to crews and clients
• Regularly inspect projects for compliance with plans and specifications
• Write and process change orders when applicable
• Attend and /or lead project meetings and documentation when applicable
• Attend internal work flow meetings
• Keep company up to date on DOT and OSHA regulations
• Company vehicle / equipment maintenance logs
• Schedule employee safety meetings
• Other duties as assigned
Successful candidate will have both, excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidate will be well versed in all aspects and terminology of construction. Candidate must have excellent time management skills as well as be self-motivated. Candidate must have an insurable Wisconsin drivers license with the ability to obtain CDL with air brake endorsement. Candidate should be familiar with Project Scheduling Software and Microsoft Office. Agricultural experience a plus.

Sales Consultant

Duties
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
• Prospecting, presenting, and closing sales in the established area
• Work with in-house drafting and estimating team
• Attend site visits with clients and in-house project management team
• Write and process change orders when applicable
Skills / Experience
• Knowledge of modern dairy equipment
• Knowledge of construction industry (post frame)
• Knowledge of modern dairy facilities
• Commission based sales experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Service / Install Technician

L & L Sales and Service, Inc., a leader and innovator in the agricultural industry, is currently seeking a self-motivated Concrete Construction Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee workers at construction sites. This position is for full time employment with a competitive pay and benefits package. We offer a wide variety of products to serve our customers that include: concrete and building construction, manure equipment, feeding equipment, freestalls, gates, ventilation, mattresses and waterbeds.
Responsibilities
• Oversee concrete construction projects from preparation to completion
• Allocate general and daily responsibilities to crew members
• Supervise and assist workers on site
• Follow blueprints and drawings
• Figure yardage and order concrete
• Prepare areas and install concrete
• Ensure all safety precautions and quality standards are met
• Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
• Resolve problems when they arise with help of supervisor as needed
• Report on progress to managers, engineers etc.
• Complete daily reports and documentation
Requirements
• Supervisory experience as construction foreman or crew leader
• Experience with footings, walls and flatwork
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines
• Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
• Ability to communicate and lead effectively
• Valid driver’s license
